Thus, tiny houses are especially suitable for students or single dwellers who don’t have much time to clean or polish their house regularly. Also, a small house means less space, which also means fewer things. And fewer things are equal to less work and low maintenance.
3. Eco-Friendly
Tiny houses are eco-friendly because they promote renewable resources. Living in a small house, one person would not want to spend and opt for heavy machines to produce electricity. Thus, people use renewable resources like solar panels. These help in providing an adequate amount of energy and protect the environment. Other big machines cause a lot of carbon emissions, leading to pollution.
Cons of tiny houses
1. Location
While building a tiny house is very easy and cheap, finding land can be a hassle and cost more than expected. Since many states do not allow tiny houses, owners have to look for the right location where the zoning codes do not restrict tiny houses. This means, if one is not aware of the laws, they will be considered illegal and might face punishment. Thus, living in a tiny house can be hard sometimes.
2. Less storage
While less space means low maintenance, it also brings in a disadvantage. Less space will lead to less storage. A tiny house may have enough space to store basic amenities, but with time the space will reduce, and dwellers will have to sell off their belongings very often. So, a tiny house dweller can only have the essentials and nothing extra. Also, no bulk storage of anything.
3. Sewage
While some stations or places allow tiny houses to be connected to the sewage stations that the locality has, many who keeps traveling on wheels faces the problem of dumping sewage. Most tiny houses make use of composting toilets or tanks. That means they have to manually dispose of the waste. That’s a hassle and also a problem when one cannot find a dumping area.
So we see tiny houses have both pros and cons. However, it will depend on the person whether they want to settle or not.
